I really need to talk to Sara Shepard about the writing of these parents in this book…. What logical parent kicks their kid out for Aira did and then doesn’t answer her calls.

I really starting to think this might be a thing where the TV Series is better then the books…

This book was horrifying in the the usual paranormal way. This book really shows that the sometimes the monsters are not paranormal.

This books is set in 1950s Florida during the Jim Crow Segregation.

I liked this book and then I found out that the author based some characters off of her family and it made me love it.
fast-paced

This is a tutor / athlete romance.
Big shot Tobias Cruz is the star pitcher for Avix University but it won’t stay that way if he doesn’t pass his classes without the help of Meyer. But she isn’t as keen to help him.

At first, I was getting really tired of Tobias and his huge ego. But he must have grown on me because I finish the book within a day.

There was even a fun little twist at the end that threw me because I would have never guessed that.

This was a roller coaster of a thriller. We got two POVs one from each of the couples. This one wasn’t too twisty but I was still invested the whole time.

William Marrow sent me book 2 so I obviously needed to read book 1. I have been a fan of Peter Swanson and this book did not disappoint!

I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. This book is fast paced and keeps going until the very end.

I really should have DNF’ed this book but I was hoping it would get better.

This was a really chaotic book. There are 16 characters and that is just counting the Gold family and not the outside characters. It was so hard to keep them all apart, definitely when three of them are called Gregory Gold.

The writing also felt chaotic. Half the time I did know when people entered the scene in the chapter as they just showed up.

There was so much going on my head was spinning but it also was not keeping my attention. I had to really make myself read this book until the last 80%. The last 80% finally felt put together and interesting.

This book did leave on a 16 year old cliff hanger and I really can’t decide if I want to read more to find out what happened to Michael.

Also I thought this was a spooky horror and it’s a thriller.

Thank you Kensingtons Books for a free copy of The House by The Cemetery for an honest review

I feel like for a novella we started in the middle of the story and everything moved very fast.

I didn’t see the chemistry build between Josh and Gwen because how fast it moved.

Also who talks to their boss’s husband about his love life the first 30 seconds on meeting them.

The epilogue was cute but there isn’t much else to the storyline. No tension. No build up.

Series or Standalone:  I think it’s in a series but I can’t figure it out.

This was a binge-able thriller. That I ate up in the matter of a day.

Daphne is living the life everyone wants. Perfect Husband. Perfect kids. Perfect house. When she meet Amber she also thinks she has the perfect friend, but everyone has their secrets.

This is a could not put down thriller. This is a perfect secret lives of the rich story. We got both POVs from Daphne and Amber.

This is fast paced and keeps you gripped until the very end.

This book started a little slow but once it started to pick up, I could not put it down.

We are getting the POV of two people that are snowed into a French chalet. One by one guest start dying.

This book is not as twisty as some books and there isn’t a book twist at the end like the other books I’ve read by her.

This is a great “Finish in a Day” kind of book.

22 years ago Josie’s parents were killed and her best friend disappeared. Now Wylie a true crime writer is back at the house trying to write about the unsolved crime.

This book goes through 3 different POVs in the span of 22 years. It’s easy to keep everyone separate and watch the story piece together.

This book does not feel like a 300+ page book as I was able to fly though. And the twist 🤯…
