A bit of an unusual recommendation here, but I think this is best as a standalone. It does a solid recap of volume 1 at the beginning and volume 1 is honestly rather weak. This volume on its own is excellent. A well paced arc of a relationship, as it says: deliciously bittersweet and then with a truly lovely ending.
