A certain Pet peeve got in front of me when I was about to finish the book I was really interested in the story but that pet peeve just trumped all the interest I had in the book. So I'm not gonna rate it because I genuinely enjoyed it but that pet peeve wouldn't let me go any further.

The book just doesn't do for me, I liked the world and everything but it felt like the world doesn't have a definite boundary the magic system all felt so open there's no sense of limitation.

The characters are likeable and all but I just don't feel the stakes in this one, The Battle Scenes sigh

The battle scenes in this book felt like the battle scenes we skip during an action movie because it doesn't do anything, no sense of awe, no sense of impending death and no adrenaline rush now I'll forgive the first two factors but I need the 3rd one otherwise battle scenes are as good as training montages .

At the end I just felt nothing maybe it's my mind but hope anyone reading this works for you.

3 ⭐I'm rewriting this review 3 months after reading and if u ask me how I feel about the first book in the series I'll say Meh. I'll say it got potential and u know that something big is gonna happen , but most of the time nearly half of the book nothing happens its like the everyday lives of the people in the village except for the antagonist POV . All I'm saying is this book was pretty average and the one thing I loved about this book was only Storm.
