I love the Disney Twisted Tales, and one day I would love to own the whole series. I found this one in my local library so I had to borrow it. I really enjoyed it, it wasn’t as exciting and unpredictable as some of the other Twisted Tales I have read. But I still loved this version of the story were Rapunzel wasn’t just complacent in everything, she did take the bull by the horns at some points.
I also loved that she didn’t just all of sudden change, you can read her battling between what she has always known and what she is discovering is the truth. You feel sympathy for her as she comes to grips with this very drastic change in her life.
I just loved it, it was lovely. I can’t wait to own a copy some day.
I really just skimmed through most of this one just to finish the series, I just needed to know what happened but I had no interest in all the sappy emotional stuff. I am glad they kept the kid safe though, but other than that I have no thoughts on this book.
Graphic: Alcoholism, Gun violence, Mental illness, Panic attacks/disorders, Sexual content, Sexual violence, Violence, Medical trauma, Car accident, Death of parent, Murder, Fire/Fire injury, Abandonment, Injury/Injury detail
I only completed this book because I got a curious about how it would end, my curiosity was what pushed me to complete this whole series because I did not really enjoy it. I didn’t click with the characters, I didn’t really care what happened to them, and I didn’t find there ‘banter’ funny.
I found the whole thing just boring, but again I only finished it because I wanted to know who the mysterious bad guy was.
