i really loved this book the characters are so well written and the relationship with food/kitchens in the first two parts really resonated with me. although the last story was really beautiful i wanted MORE kitchen so i was a lil sad but only for selfish reasons
i watched the movie years ago because i saw a screen cap and thought the art was so intriguing and absolutely loved it, when i found out it was a graphic novel i wanted it ever since but it was never available at any libraries thankfully hunter gave me the worlds best christmas gift and viola i’ve now read the book. it lived up to the movie and then some, not only is it very timely but also makes so much more sense after investing time into learning about the world outside of america. it would read just as well without the illustrations but they are so well done and powerful AH it just works so well. i’m very thankful for this book :0)
becomes really dull 3/4th of the way through and the ending isn't very satisfying the majority of the novel was intriguing but just didn't follow through honestly this is the first book over 500 pages i've read in a long time so it wasn't too awful to where i lost interest completely but i envisioned a lot more going into the book because of how much its hyped up then what i got out of the book
ehhhhhhhhh i went back and forth reading this book because i loved the dialogue and writing style but kept feeling discouraged to read the book maybe i’ll come back to it and give it another shot but something just didn’t click with this one
