I read this in less than 12 hours and a book has to be pretty great or at the very least special for me to do that. I have been waiting for this story and to see what happened with sully since the lakes hockey series so I was so excited for his book. Ultimately this did not disappoint. I loved the plot and I loved the two main characters. I loved the direction the story took and the reality tv element since I feel like I don’t read that very often. This was a well done accidental pregnancy but I still would prefer in the game. My biggest issue with this story is that I just wanted more depth. I wanted more of a backstory to both characters and more focus on Kendra’s job and career path since her passion for it was mentioned so many times. For me personally there was a little too much spice and for a relatively short story I would’ve rather seen that be used for more romantic deep moments. But overall I loved being back in this world and I loved seeing all of the characters again. I’m also so excited to see where this series is going to go because I absolutely love books with female athletes in them and this story teased a handful of really interesting couples.

This was good but that’s really all I can say about it. I liked the concept and the tropes going into the book and was interested in Talia’s story. I really liked her as a main character and enjoyed her arc and her growth and her depth. I also liked the setting because being in a small town with the whole family is so fun. I liked foster but I definitely thought he was lacking something. He was so down bad for Talia but the reasoning for that was never explained which just made it feel kind of superficial. I wanted more about their past as a couple not just what happened the years they were apart and I wanted to see more growth from some of the other relationships in the story. This also felt like it had a lot of side stories and loose ends that just didn’t contribute a ton to the overall plot so those were kind of unnecessary. But overall this was a super quick read with likeable characters so not bad at all.

I haven’t picked up a Denvy Perry book in a while so I didn’t really know what to expect but this was a good time. I knew it was going to be a romantic suspense and I thought the balance of the two was done pretty well. I liked how winns job as a cop tied in the mystery storyline and how it helped it move along. I also liked the setting and griffin as an mmc. I wanted to see a little bit more of their relationship once they actually got together since I felt like the story ended a bit quick. But overall I liked the setting I liked the plot and I really liked the side characters and the family.
