So I heard negative things about this book dragging me but I disagree?? I actually enjoyed it (for what it was). I loveee flashbacks so I was really happy to see that happened a lot although I will say some of the flashbacks towards the middle end just seemed like filler so I could see why people got annoyed.

Definitely didn’t see the end coming sooo I’m excited to see where the story goes. I still stand by thoughts on the first book and say this book is also a good blueprint lol I think one thing that did kinda bother me is that a lot of the story moved forward cause of Isla’s dumb choices and I really wish writers would be more clever at moving the plot than yea…bad choices.

Also, still don’t know which guy I like better tbh. I think if anything I’ve always liked Grim a lil better but I think that’s just cause I go for the dark and mysterious types in general lol

Disclaimer: it’s a 3 star for me but the author is Colombian-American like me so I wanna show support to mi paisana  😂

Okay, so I really didn’t know much about this book besides what I saw on a video on YouTube by Cari can read so I knew it was hyped on tik tok and that people felt let down and Cari herself wasn’t a fan but I love these types of books, was going on a roadtrip and then I learned about the Colombian thing and it was over. Basically what I’m saying is I went in with low expectations.

The story was fine. Honestly I just kept thinking this was good blueprint lol like there’s potential but it just needed more plot and world building. Author felt overly descriptive and it was kinda like okay can you give us some info besides poetic descriptions to sound deep.

I think it would make a cool show and I hope her writing improves with the next book…

I do wanna say that if I had read this in middle school I would’ve ATE this book uppppp. Omg I just know it. Oh and I kinda like that I don’t know which guy i like more. Like I know one of them did that kinda shitty thing buttt it was more out of desperation than malice and Idk I kinda wanna see where this goes…

Finished it on my drive with audiobook which I enjoyed in case yall ever need like an easy read while you clean your house or drive!

Listen…I liked it a lot but also have mixed feelings. I’m mainly just disappointed that it’s lowkey the same story…like what are the odds that nesta and cassian are mates. Wowowow. very predictable and just kinda sad. I did like the book and think it might be in my top two….definitely a lot of filler tho omggg I swear there was like 3 pages of cassian just thinking ider what about Mor like let’s get it goinggggg. Again….mixed feelings lol

I didn’t expect to be as moved as I am. What an incredible story. Viola Davis is just so strong and her fears in regards with imposter syndrome resonated a lot , especially at this specific time in my life. I listened to it on Audio read by Viola Davis herself and it was just so powerful and damn good!!

I didn’t give it 4 stars because it’s such an excellent read…I gave it four stars because I loved The Unhoneymooners! I loved the family and characters in this story so I was excited to spend more time with them. As a Latina I just loved the representation. I saw bits and pieces of my family members and it just brought me a lot of joy. I’m also just a sucker for a nice little romcom 🥲

It took me forever to finish this book because I didn’t want it to finish. I think I liked it so much because I didn’t expect it. Everyone says of mist and fury was their favorite and even tho I did really like it, it didn’t blow me away like I thought it would so I expected this one to be alright. But it had so much happen in it and the ending had me **screaming** and I just loved it. I’ve heard a couple ppl describe this series as more of a trilogy cause then it changes a lot with the next book so I’m excited to see where the story takes me…

I just genuinely enjoy Ali Hazelwoods writing. So as soon as I saw she was releasing a new book I immediately went to Libby and out my hold!

I just really like that her books feel very fast paced and how she approaches sex and romance in her stories. I found Nate to be very swoon worthy. I could’ve done with out the kid sisters but that’s mainly cause I don’t care for children ESPECIALLY when I’m listening to an audiobook (which I was)  cause the adult doing a kids voice is usually very cringe.

I found it very refreshing to not have a science setting cause I definitely can’t keep up with that…not that I can with chess but still lol
