I want all white authors to know that being "inspired" but the struggles of mainly bipoc people and even comparing supernatural creatures to them is not the political gotcha you all think it it.
It is actually very disrespectful.
Challenge: White authors stop using bipoc oppression for your fictional fantasy stories for fictional fantasy creatures! (HARD EDITION)

As much as I would love to gush over the romance I will not simoly because my focus was on Luke and how his entire family including Josiah failed him.
You mean to tell me they cared more about a dead man who abused his child to the point if scarring him for the rest of his life, but not the child. They are so convenienced by him and refuse to acknowledge that his father even by the standards back then was abusing his child.
Besides Gareth and his family seem to be the only people who treat Like with love and respect and I know someone will argue that the Doomsdays love Luke, but in my opinion not enough.
