THIS. BOOK. IS. BEYOND. AMAZING. Thoroughly enjoyed every page, I love the geekiness of the story. The narrator (Wil Wheaton) brought it to live which is fun and engaging. Fast paced plot, interesting background, computer game references, and ofc retrospective of 80s pop culture. One of the must fun book I’ve read this year. The writing was great, it was full of action packed with adventure.

At first I was hooked because the comic has an interesting premise, about gods and goddeses that reincarnated into humans every ninety years and die after two years.
But, i felt the story was a bit lacking and confusing, i found myself hard to understand because it was some kind of undeveloped (quite mess tbh). The story made me questioning what kind of god the character supposed to be? How did the gods come to incarnate into humans?
Yeah, the characters have less background explanation, but I do understand that this volume is just an introduction to the world.
Ps. THE ARTWORK WAS STUNNING AND GORGEOUS!!!! I'm also loving the diverse cast of characters in this series! Can't wait to read Vol.2 and find out more the stories.
