Heartbreaking biography that shows the power of God’s transformative work in someone’s life! Rosie Rivera’s salvation story and just the work that God has done in her life is awesome to read about!
This is such a heartbreaking, beautiful and well written story! I didn’t know about embryo adoptions until this book. As always, I loved the faith of the Baxter family and how they relied on God! Things I loved: -John Baxter obeying the prompting of the Holy Spirit and praying for his family. -The family gathering together to hear the news from Peter and Brooke and praying. -How London came to believe in God.
Some parts of the book I didn’t agree with: Dawson being so available to London. -I understand Maddie needing time to process that she was adopted. I don’t think it was wise for her to fly out to meet her biological parents with a man she barely knows. I don’t agree with her decisions after finding out about being adopted. - I didn’t agree with Dawson telling Maddie about her biological family. -The unrealistic and unhealthy romance that is sometimes promoted in Karen Kingsbury books.
Despite this, this is a great book and it made me cry and I can’t wait to see this movie!
Cute and funny story! I liked the banter between Henry and Edith. I liked how the characters didn’t give up their dreams for each other but got to experience life apart. This book is not Christian fiction in my opinion. Overall, a good book. Concerns: Edith said God might be good. Henry lying and not breaking up with his girlfriend right away. Henry and Edith living together when they found out each other’s age.
