The inner teenager in me loved this book.

Great tension, great spice, too much misogyny for my taste but somewhat resolved in the end, a few lines I had to roll my eyes at, but okay,
and the end seemed a bit too romantically perfect, but it's a romance after all, so...

A sweet little story that made me want to go visit the places of the book but won’t stay with me long.

It’s been a very long time since I read this book. Irvin D. Yalom‘s books are perfect for anyone who is interested in psychology and psychotherapy. In many of his books he writes about these topics in a fictional setting. This is one of them. I remember enjoying reading and learning about psychology in a fictional story very much. It lead me to reading several of his books.

It’s been a long time since I read this book. I remember enjoying all the books I read by psychotherapist Irvin D. Yalom. They are perfect if you are interested in psychology, but want to read about it in a fictional story for a change. This one specifically was a bit slower to get through due to the 19th century setting.

Phew. What a life story.
I feel heartbroken for what humanity is capable of. Many questions stay unanswered, but that doesn’t matter because Britney Spears got to tell her story the way she wanted. I am glad she did.
The writing is not great but that’s okay.
