Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody

rating:3.75 stars
i would have bumped the rating up if:
1. enne didn’t cry every 30 pages in the beginning of the book
2. if levi didn’t feel like a knockoff kaz brekker
and 3. if the book didn’t take place over the unrealistic timeline of 10 days and there wasn’t a case of super quick “developed” romance over that time span
other than that, this wasn’t bad

A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer

did this book have a lot of tropes. yes. god yes. it felt like a 2013 book in that aspect and that’s not a compliment.
but it was addicting, and i mean that when i say i read the last 300 pages in one sitting. and thank god it wasn’t as predictable as i thought. so i guess it wasn’t horrible.
but man if this book was gay... 5 stars
