 Loved the book!

Such a great portrayal of mental health issues and how poorly the health system deals with it, even today. Frankie's constant mantra of being a sinner and feeling ashamed brings me back to my Catholic upbringing. She could not shake her sense of failure and inadequacy, it reminds me that you seldom know the personal struggles of others.

Her depiction of war was deftly handled: the gruesome injuries, the dreadful impact to people suffering in the war zone, the broken-ness of the survivors and the families dealing with the aftermath, she really brought home the reality of war.

This is a handbook that outlines constructive actions for successful transportation projects. A  lot of the information could be applied to any project, not just transportation. I did like her  focus on inclusivity - treating everyone equitably

The author organizes the book by work-group, (miners, cleaners, movers, etc.) and provides a fact filled chapter for each. It was almost  too fact-heavy for me; difficult to retain it all.  But infuriating and educational. The Prison Labor chapter is a must-read.
