Ann Liang does academic rivals to lovers like no other

- the author writes characters that have so much depth, that are flawed in such a realistic & relatable way it truly makes you root for them
- the mention of caz song made me so so happy!! i love that the author drops subtle hints that indicate all her books are based in the same universe
- if i start talking about sadie & julius i’ll never stop like i need the confession scene engraved on my mind. they’re very dear to me <3

currently speechless, will collect my thoughts later

after two days, I can safely say that I haven’t stopped thinking about this book. I loved how fast-paced it is; it kept me itching to turn the pages. Red's character is so unique! I liked her complexity and how she defied the stereotypical main character mold. although I absolutely despised Oliver, I really appreciated the depth of his character—a perfect portrayal of finger-pointer people who turn completely selfish when put in life-threatening situations. I think he definitely enhanced the book. still hate him though.
THE PLOT TWISTSSS I was gasping and all.
overall, it's an amazing book, and I keep recommending it to everyone I see.

mediocre, corny at times. I suspected the killer halfway through the book. nothing special really but i don’t regret reading it
the last line alone gives the book the extra half star, it sent chills down my spine
