Wasn't greatly inspired, but it was a good enough book, certainly did a good job of explaining evolution and the power of natural selection. I just know it all already :P
Didn't hit me like I thought it would, but it was certainly readable, and interesting at points.
Not as good as I would like, in retrospect. There's an awful lot of silly characteristics to the dinosaurs - terrible stinks, glowing-eyes, absurd intelligence. I don't know what I'd think of it if I'd never seen the film as a child and was new to it. I can't decide whether I'd love it or hate it.
Got about 200 pages in, having given up several times in that time, before finally moving on to something else. I'm still not sure where it was supposed to be going or what the point was, but the characters were just too dull, uninteresting, uncompelling, and I wasn't emotionally invested in anything that was happening. Maybe I'll try again when I'm older ;)
Not much more to it than the film, which I loved, so although it's probably an excellent book I felt like I'd read it before, except that the bits that made me tingle before were missing. Of course, it had more in in than the film, but either not enough or the film was just that good an adaptation. I might disagree if I watch the film again :P
