I love this story, but I found the book to be a bit boring and the author tends to ramble about unnecessary details.

DNF @ 20%. I hated it, everything the characters said was annoying. This book seems to have been written by someone who wanted to hurry to the smut and therefore the plot sucked. Waste of time.

Just as I remembered it, and honestly when it comes to this book adaptation, it’s pretty much 95% accurate.

4.5/5 ⭐️, even tho I felt the plot twist coming, I was still surprised somehow. The world building took me a minute, but once I got into I was invested in what was going to happen to our main characters. Overall, incredible! Can’t wait to get to the next book

3.75 ⭐️, I love Ivan and Jasmine but I didn’t completely love the writing style in this book. Firstly, a lot of the scenes dragged on for far too long. Secondly, she repeated words a lot like “steady, steady, steady”. Finally, (and what I hated the most) any time someone spoke she was too detailed about who. Like “the woman with the delicate shoulders who raised me my whole life said” or “the man with the piercing blue eyes I would recognize anywhere told me” things like that. But it was still cute.

This book is so incredible, I am almost lost for words, but it would be a great injustice not to document how this book affected me. It made me see that there is beauty in grief. That there is the ability for something beautiful to grow from it. The way that TJR tackles such a tough story where our main character has to make a decision that’s impossible to think of, is masterful. The way she intricately describes our character’s inner thought process truly let’s the reader feel what the main character is feeling. This is why TJR is one of my favorite authors, because she is a genius.

(3.5 ⭐️) This book had a lot of plot twists and I feel like I could guess most of them. But that’s what I do tbh, so that might just be me being amazing at guessing. I was heavily entertained though, this was probably the quickest I read a book (and it was my first read on my kindle)! This would make a great film. I am upset with the ending, but they needed to set up a second book somehow I guess lol

Adorable, amazing, incredible, delectable. I couldn’t eat this book up as quickly as I wanted to but that is at no fault to the writer because this book is sheer perfection. I love how badass the female lead is, and I love Keiran King (wish I had one of my own). GO READ THIS!!!
