Pacing and language was a bit odd for me and had to double take fairly often. Only lovable character, Simon, was barely in the story. Felt that could have played a bigger role rather than the constant bickering.

I felt the 4th volume was a bit slow and I’m bored of the Beth hunt. Find her, let it be disappointing and let it be over already.

Most surprisingly great book I’ve probably read. Loved every minute. The five parts are so different in pace and tone that just kept me engaged. It’s coming of age and mystery and thriller and fantasy and period and historical fiction and dark academia and probably ten other categories.

So good

I went into this with a lot of excitement. Though book 1 had some repetitiveness to it (otjize) it was overall pretty captivating. After that, I felt like there was a constant loop of material with minimal story.
