Love the characters and the world the author has built very different world while also feeling familiar if you like supernatural fantasy books. Also I love how the author handles ptsd from past Traumas it’s a very real description of what it can be like when living with ptsd.

Loved learning about how the turn started and the history of the hollows but I found myself struggling to like some of the characters and it didn’t pull me in as much as the authors other books. But In the end I enjoyed the book and want to read more about the history of the hollows in this storyline.

Good read but be warned to look at the trigger warning before reading. I didn’t and was slapped in the face with a few things and almost stopped reading the book but gave it another chance after reading some spoilers and being prepared to deal with the themes presented. Despite all that I did enjoy the book and found I really loved and understood the characters thought I wish they made some different choices
