Apparently this month is my poetry era. Poetry has always been hit or miss for me. I was never a big poetry reader in my youth, so I'm glad I'm finding it in my adulthood.

This one was sad and yet I loved it! It's something that I needed in my teen years, but I enjoyed it all the same. This one made me want to cry because I've felt this pain before. Both romantically and platonically.

"and when you told me it was over i wanted to hate you hate you for making me feel like this hate you for giving up on us hate you for not trying harder hate you for not wanting to love me but then i understood that hate won’t make my heart feel better won’t bring you back and that you can't hate the person you love unconditionally"

This one was a sad read for me. I struggle with depression and I was even suicidal in my teen years after my mother died. This one hit home a lot with me. It only got four stars because it was shorter than it felt like it should have been. The ending seemed rushed and I wanted more to the story.

"It was a tightness in my chest, yet a hole where something should be that wasn’t there, and a light-headedness as if I were watching everything happening to me without truly experiencing it."

"“It’s like there’s less color in everything. The sky is darker. The world is dimmer. Things that used to be fun, like singing, just make me tired now. I’ve been trying so hard for so long now that I deserve to rest. It’s selfish for you to ask me to withstand it when I can barely get out of bed most days.”"

This was beautiful. Some of the words she wrote were exactly what I needed to hear. Healing is a journey not necessarily a destination.

"Repeat after me; I am worthy of being here today exactly as I want to be. I do not need to change or mold myself just to make other people comfortable with me."

"The truth is, the scars don't go away they're permanent even when the memory too forgets you"

This book was depressing, but in a good way. I know that makes no sense, but that's the only way I can describe it. This book kind of hits home too.

I read another review that said it feels like an older sister giving advice and I have to completely agree. This is her journey towards growth and it hits home since I'm working on my own journey. This book is one that I will think about in years to come. I think this book has got to be my favorite poetry book ever. I loved this so much!

You’ve come too far to settle for anything less than what you want you know you need to leave when the thought of it makes you feel relieved.

It is never too late to start treating yourself the way you deserve.

I don’t want half of anything give me everything or don’t give it to me at all. You deserve to be loved by someone who will love you unconditionally exactly as you are - don’t ever change yourself for someone else.

Don’t chase after love chase after life instead and life will love you back.

This quote is by far my favorite because it almost made me cry at work: Dear me in 6 months, I will make you fucking proud.

This one was a short book, but it didn't really keep my attention. I read about half of it before I set it to the side for other books. I got this book free as part of the extra month book on Kindle, but I could have passed.

I remember the poem books like this from when I was a child. I never read this one, but it was decent. Poetry really isn't my favorite form of literature, but I still enjoyed it.

This one was actually very intriguing! I read it all in a single sitting! It was a really short read and I loved every minute of it! Alice returns to the Strange Lands with Ever Hart after their daring escape from a home for troubled youth. Will they escape the Queen's wrath? You have to read it to find out.

My only issue with this story is that it seemed rushed at the end. It could have been a bit longer in my opinion.

This one was an interesting read. I only found it because of a book group that I'm a part of on Facebook and I was intrigued, so I looked into it. I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I started it early Wednesday morning, but I couldn't get myself to read past the first line because I was sleep deprived and giggly, but once I actually started reading it I really enjoyed it. Yes, the FMC has sex with her door who can turn human.

“I have no name but yours, Tana. I am your faithful guardian and protector, nothing more, nothing less. I am your door, and I love you.”

Wow! That was exciting!!! This one is not for everyone! It is a horror Omegaverse story that involves serial killers and other questionable things. I loved it though. I have already recommended this to one of my friends because I think she'll like it.
