Well, that was sad. I didn't expect this to affect me so much, but it did. I loved this book. I'm in my poetry era apparently.

Well, I surely didn't expect to cry when I started to read this book, but I did. The writing style does take some getting used to, but it was lovely. It was sad and inspirational. I'm glad that I read this as an adult and not a teenager though because I'm mature enough to feel inspired.

"it’s pointless to make someone a priority when you're at the bottom of their list"

"you don't get to choose how your words affect me. understand this. you shattered me. and you've lost my trust. when all your new friends leave don't expect to find me. cause i'll be gone too."

"I Dont Give A Fuckedy Fuck Anymore"

"the anger that i have for certain human beings is un-fucking real"

"I blur my sadness for the most part That’s why everyone thinks I’m happy"

"I was drowning And you were watching from the side Yelling at me to just swim But that’s just it You can’t swim when you don't know how And you don’t have anybody to guide you"

This one was interesting. The beginning was a little slow, but once I got past that I couldn't put it down! I loved the ending! Daniel Hurst might be a new favorite author of mine!

"He asks each of us around the table what our New Year’s resolutions are. And that was the moment when things started to get crazy."

"Do I feel bad for tricking Martin and Michaela? No, because I was playing a game, just like they were."

"I expect that fact will bring us together. Make us close. Very close. She did look rather pretty at that New Year’s party. So who knows? Maybe she’ll be the woman on my arm at the next one."

What a way to start off 2025! I loved this short poem book! I think all young adults and teenagers should read this. It's so motivating and moving. These quotes resonate with me because of my life experiences.

"i didn’t block you because i hated you i blocked you because i still love you"

"just because we share the same blood eyes and last name does not mean you were ever a father to me"

I read the first book earlier this year. So when I saw this one, I just had to read it. I loved this one so much. It made me laugh, cry, and squeal in delight. I listened to half of the book on audio and I read the other half. As always, here are some of my favorite quotes.

People made mistakes, and sometimes they weren’t aware of how bad their choices were until they lived through them and came out on the other side.

“I’m sure I’ll do something else stupid, and then you’ll be angry at me again,” Isabel said sadly. “If you do, I’ll forgive you all over again,” Sophie assured her. “We can fight and still love each other. That’s what sisters do.”

Love gives you faith in the future, and that is what he possessed. “Every doctor learns that the future is a mystery, but what I feel for you is not.”

This one was good. Very fast paced, but there were a lot of spelling errors. I could overlook most of them, but I had to go back and reread the sentence correctly. I did like it though. A very nice way to spend Christmas.
