Very adorable, simple, and sweet. Just what I need.

While I was really enjoying the first half of this novel, the novelty of it wore off after that point and I began to wonder why I was continuing on with the book. I want to clarify that this doesn't have anything to do with Strayed choices in the book. People make bad and really dumb choices. It has more to do with the lack of impact any of it had for me. Other than the morsels about the severity of the hike, there wasn't much to intrigue which I, unfortunately, realized pretty far in. Either way, I finished it primarily for the sake of finishing it.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.
I knew a few pages in that I was going to continue reading this as a guilty pleasure. I was enjoying doing so until I found out the author based the villain's of the book off of antisemitic views. I contemplated reading it anyways but it felt so wrong reading these characters and constantly being reminded that THIS is what the author thinks of a group of people. I don't know how you end up with THAT as your end product.

I don't know if this book was written to make whole sense. I like to think it wasn't. There are definitely things to be understood and others to let go of. It's just so o

Did not finish book.
I don't know why, but I kind of just stopped caring about Violet halfway through the book. I stopped caring where she went, with who, and how she ended up.
