Queen of Gods is a fabulous sequel to Daughter of Darkness. The transformation which occurred in one of the main characters was fascinating to watch and there were some truly heart breaking moments, and unexpected twists. Tyche was also an amazing new character. The story explored many interesting topics such as grief and the corrupting influence of power on a person. All in all a great series, even the love triangle didn't put me off despite me usually disliking them in fantasy novels. Excellent!!

Daughter of Darkness is an exciting retelling of Orpheus and Eurydices. I really enjoyed this book, full of twists and turns, gods and monsters. Many great characters and sad moments. Would definitely read the sequel! 4.5⭐️

"The Words of Kings and Prophets" is a masterpiece, even better than the first instalment of this stunning story. Inspired by Irish mythology, the story continues to follow Fodla, a descendent of the magical Tuatha De Dannan, and Gormflaidh, a cruel and deadly Formarian (fire witch). This book also introduces more POVs such as Colman, a warrior and cousin of Fodla. Both of the main characters are fabulous; Fodla has a heart of gold and is always risking herself in order to protect others, and Gormflaidh, while decidedly malicious, is impossible not to root for as she struggles for power with the controlling men in her life. Anyone who has read this book will have had their heart broken at least once (you know what you did Shauna). I highly recommend to any mythology fans and excitedly await book 3 so that one character finally gets what he deserves (I swear something really bad better happen to him or I'll be raging).

"Daughter of Winter and Twilight" is an immersive, tense and moving story, exploring friendship, PTSD and of course continuing the story of two iconic lesbian queens. What more could you want? It has been ages since I read "Queen of Coin and Whispers" so I had absolutely no idea what to expect with this book, but I am so glad I picked it up. Absolutely fabulous! GAYS EVERYWHERE! The mythology introduced in this book, which was not a feature in the previous one, as far as I remember, was vivid and magical, without the need for any info-dumping. All of the characters were fabulous and the slow creation of bonds between them was beautiful to watch. I can't wait for the next continuation of this series if there is more to come!
