4.5 I really loved this story, it made me happy for a couple of days. There’s a small list of things I didn’t like: These characters had no personality.
I feel like the author tried to make Dax seem interesting by giving him a sad background, but that wasn’t enough, they could’ve given him more personality and showed us who the real Dax was, I mean, yes, he opened up with autumn, but they should’ve given him a little bit more to offer, like personal goals (besides running away and being free), or just something from his past besides his family issues.
Other than that i absolutely loved it, it kept me wondering what was gonna happen next, I really thought it was going to be one of those stories where they fall in love after three days, but it surprised me, it didn’t stop when they got out of the library, the author gave them time to actually fall in love with each other.

Wow, just, wow.
I don’t even know if I can write this review right now, I’m simply shocked. All the things that we learn at the end are just... wow. I HATE Corrine with all my heart, not even the hate I feel for the grandma compares...
I really wanted them to go to the police, these children need to be taken care of, and heal, God, I just can’t believe they had to go through all that, I can’t believe their “mother” could do something like what she did, she does not deserve a happy ending, she does not deserve to keep all the money, she does not deserve a happy marriage, she deserves to be locked up.
I want to read the second book but I feel too weak hahaha, I just really feel for these characters and honestly, I feel like I’m the one who needs to heal after reading this story.
