Have you ever read a book that just drags on but the last 3 chapter or so are a rollercoaster well …

IDK if I would consider this book a thriller.

I was so excited to read this, but I found myself having a really hard time finishing it. It had unnecessary details, like who cares how you made an omelet and what veggies you used and how you decorated the plate, get on with it.

Some of the scenes in my opinion were WEIRD  🫠I wondered if that level of detail was truly needed, does it add any value to the storyline?

For example, there is  a scene where there is a maid, and I don’t know why it was necessary to say that she sounded Hispanic. 🥴
Another scene “there was a maniac driver, only to find out that she was Latina, and her music if you can call it that, was way too loud”.🤨 Why does the ethnicity matter?
I don’t like books that have too much detail, I don’t really care much for it, not a fan of it. ( I think it’s world building? Not sure if I am using the correct verbiage)

Anyway the ending was very predictable, to much unnecessary detail, 🥱I felt like it just dragged on and on. Finally when you get to chapter 25 that’s when the good stuff happens (😬the thriller part of the book)and yet predictable.

I guess I expected more,But I did like how the author brought up awareness to Domestic Violence.

Would I recommend this book?🤔
I would, but I would just tell them that it’s very detailed and I would be honest and say I wasn’t a fan but I hope they enjoy it 🤷🏻‍♀️.
