Was this the most amazing book ever written? no. Was it a good time? yes. Sometimes we read books cause they're fun and funny. This was one of those books. It's not brilliantly written, but I had a good time reading it. I enjoyed the characters and the not-so-mysterious-mystery, and the ending was definately amusing for sure. If you want something that's cozy, paranormal and just over all fun in a silly goofy way this is a book I'd recommend for that.

AHHHH!!!
Okay like what?! Wow! Holy Gods WOW!
I loved Butcher & Blackbird, but Leather & Lark, gods that was just....whew...so good.
I enjoyed the heck outta this book, and usually I'm not one for a "slow" burn romance but with this one, this one took the cake cause once the burn started it was HOT! Brynne knocked it outta the park with this as the second in a trilogy and I seriously can't wait to see what Scythe & Sparrow is going to bring <3. Now excuse me while I go be annoying to my friends and family about this dang book!

Harlow and Jordyn for the win! What a lovely, heartwarming, sweet, and twisty-turny read. I loved the murder mystery aspect of the book and the love between Harlow and Jordyn. Definately an autumnal re-read for next year too!

Kelsey Best and Declan Kingman are literal relationship goals! I could eat this story up a second time and not get tired of it. I love how supportive and protective Declan is of Kelsey and how she eventually recognizes the balance of work and life that she deserves and that Declan's love for her isn't just a showmance but the real deal. The Kingman clan are the masters of work life balance and The Best's seem to be down to earth (if a little obsessed with Christmas) and I adore that dynamics of both families. Become a Bestie and check this one out if you like swoon-worthy men, Positive Plus-size rep, and the cutest little puppy on the planet!

Oh my gods. This is a book outside of my main genre, but holy crap was it an amazing read. The perspectives of different women from a family line through the ages and how each of their lives mimic one anothers in some way, and how they all fall into their own power and finding strength in that familial power just wow. I don't know if I've ever cried as hard as I did at the end of a book like this one. 5 stars, I will be thinking about this one for a long time.
