It's good but it's not the best Wodehouse I have read.
It highlights a very interesting social issue, but Trollope is so verbose and the narrative voice is so dominant over the whole story that the pleasure is significantly reduced.

A bold move to write a protagonist that few could relate to or empathise with.
It's a very good allegory but I guess I don't care for allegories. I'll come back and finish it, if I have the inclination at a later point.

A tragic tale of how gay men had to deny themselves their true identity and the repurcussion it had on everyone around them. A masterly work on how society failed them.
It seems like one of the many stories I read in the 1980s and '90s about Vietnam. Didn't hold my interest.

Mainly commonsense advice but then many of us need to hear/read what we already know but still don't do! The books is methodically laid out, one small advice layered over the previous, similar to his main concept. I would recommend this to anyone frustrated about not being able to stick to their new year's resolutions!
