Title: The Tea Dragon Festival
Author: Kay O’Neill
Publisher: Oni Press
Genre: Young adult cottagecore fantasy graphic novel
Rating: 5⭐️
REVIEW
***“Just because something comes easily to you, does not mean it has no value. You find it effortless because you love it, and that is why it is your gift.”***
The second book in the Tea Dragon Society series was just as beautiful as the first. It is set a while before book one, and you will recognise some characters (for those who have read the first, Erik is the main character’s uncle).
There was less focus on the Tea Dragons in this than in the first, as it was more plot based, but they are still there and we are introduced to some new ones as well as getting profiles in the back as in book one.
I really appreciated the storyline of when one of the villagers was born deaf, the whole village learnt sign language to be able to communicate with her and I think that just shows the wonderful community feel of this place.
The format of the book is stunning and after reading it on ebook, I would love to own physical copies of the series to have this story and artwork in my collection! Overall, this series is the perfect cottagecore read and I would highly recommend!

I loved this one! It had a strong focus on community which I really enjoyed so I’m definitely looking forward to reading Heidi Swain’s backlist - if you saw my story the other day you know they are now all on my TBR

Really interesting read told through speeches, articles etc. Probably not the best book to start learning about the suffragettes but a great read to expand your knowledge ☺️
