well i wanted to like this a lot more than i did. really strong concept but imo the execution was not really there.

it is so hard to love this sport sometimes. the work that akim and the hda have done over the last few years is one of the things that gives me some hope for the future of hockey.

so glad to have picked up her full length debut after reading teaching my mother how to give birth a couple of years ago. i love how shire balances lyricism and simplicity in a way that packs such a punch. my favourites were probably assimilation, filial cannibalism, and bless this house.

another one for the middle grade graphic novels that i've read on my break shelf

she never missed

picked this up on a whim at work, so i’m not sure how the environment i read it in impacted my experience, but i felt a little underwhelmed by this. still really enjoyed it and there were a few moments where the self-recognition hit deep but i think it may be a victim of the hype, for me. the art and colour schemes were beautiful though.
