This was amazing! Lots of fun and action, the characters and chemistry were amazing throughout! I just wish we could have seen a little bit more of Wylan because his relationship with his dad is so interesting.

I really enjoyed this book! It really got into the politics of Ravka and Alina’s relationships. This trilogy reminds me a lot of Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn trilogy, but is fun and unique in its own way.
I also liked the fight at the end with the Darkling, it felt very cinematic. My only gripe is that Alina and Mal’s relationship is very 0 to 100, they either are fighting or can’t stand being away from each other. (Though this is probably because I’m just a big shipper and wants them to be happy)

I wasn't expecting to love this book as much as I did! I was worried when I first started because Alina felt very much like the typical peasant-girl-realizes-she's-magic-and-saves-the-world situation but it was pulled off very well.
(same for that love triangle in the middle)
Fun with lots of twists and turns. Highly recommend!

I didn't understand it. Not. One. Bit. Maybe I'll try again someday but I just can't do it. I really thought I was going to love this book.... Oh,well. On to the next one!

"'Why be supreme when you could listen to the Supremes instead?'"
I think this was better than the first one! And while I didn't cry,I don't think I have ever felt so much pure joy while reading a book. David was just amazing and Sal's character arc is just so well written.
Zoe actually being the Queen of Marsyas was just so cool I can't put it into words. And that chapter where they kick out the DICOMY lady is just....chef's kiss
I think this might be my favorite book of all time, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

This was just utterly delightful! I'm typically not a big fan of romance but the banter and chemistry was just amazing! I loved all the villagers, Wendell and Emily just so much. The only things that I didn't like about this book are
Wendell quite obviously sleeping with multiple women just a couple of chapters before he proposes to Emily, and the faerie King trying to marry Emily. (Not really from a writing standpoint I just didn't enjoy that part.)
My favorite chapter was
the one where Wendell was writing in Emily's journal. It was so cute!
