I have no words. This was the most beautiful thing I've read in a while. It was soul crushing, I cried for 3 days straight. But it also made me laugh. Its not yet finished, but I'm going mad waiting for the next chapter that I've read the whole thing twice. I can safely say that it's one of the best things I have ever read, perhaps even better than the original Harry Potter series. But do read the tags before you read it.

It was great, truly. But i feel there wasn't enough of a cost to the things they achieved. It was just to easy, with practically no cost or losses. That kinda ruined it for me. But other than that and the writing style, it was lovely.

Well it was dark, violent and twisted, things I usually enjoy but for me, this book was a quite a drag and difficult to finish. The characters were all terrible people — the main character acted so stupidly all the time - it made my head ache. The plot was nice and the writing was nice. The main problem is the characters, not only are they horrible people, they are BLAND horrible people. Overall it was mediocre, but I would not read it again.
I will say I enjoyed the theme and plot mostly, it was a good mystery and I truly had no clue as to who the real killer was. That was very well executed. But that's about it for me.

The book was awesome, but I do think the ending was a lil too much my little pony, friendship will save all kinda thing — like it was kinda weird how

<SPOILER>

the sirens just listened to her immediately without hesitancy by just a promise of how things could be different. If they were hardened by years of brutality like Lira was, how was it so easy to accept peace with humans that they so long considered scum? And helping them just after a few minutes of swapping sides was off putting. I don't think it should've been THAT easy. These are hardened killers. I don't think they would be so easily swayed by just a promise of change (a major one at that which would change their lives completely) with minimal standing. And if they were really that scared of the Sea Queen, I don't think it would be that easy to abandon her side.
And also, how no one died in such a dangerous journey is odd. Everyone coming out unscathed like leaving the 'bad guys' was really off putting.

</SPOILER>

But other than that, It was a great read. The plot, challenges romance and the humour was on point. I enjoyed it greatly. Though some points could have been executed better.
