The interpersonal conflict with Lila's friends was such a big nothing burger. And much to my dismay, the voice has not improved over five books. Idk how much more of these I can read.

that last big plot twist made me so anxious and it had so little time to breathe before the ending. because like yeah if i was a multi-millionaire i'd do the same thing, just throw money at any problem that crops up until it got me in real trouble. also the thing about her family only telling negative stories about her is TOO REAL i want off of this ride

love is dead and we have killed her, and tooth-rotting romance novels that make you cry are but one festival of atonement, one sacred game we have invented

also sidenote but i love when romance novels do that thing where they're in love with where they're set. i've never been to baltimore a day in my life but i want to go now
