I know how polarizing this book is online so I was very apprehensive to read it because I assumed (based on nothing) that I would be in the camp of people who didn’t like it. Boy was I wrong!! Once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down and I read the first 215 pages in one sitting. Can’t wait to read Rooney’s other work :)

This is such a unique lens to view life through: what we were wearing at pivotal moments in our lives, where the clothes came from, how they made us feel, and how personal style evolved over time.

The casualness in which major life details are thrown in and the closing remarks about her friends life appearing perfect but being far from struck me because it just shows that we all go through major things in our lives, but life keeps going and this is true for everyone, despite appearances.
