This book messed with my emotio ns so much. It was indeed a rollercoaster ride as I read thru the journey of the four protaginists. This book has multiple POVS, so the reader could really understand each character and their struggle. However, Im rating it 4 .75 out of 5 just cause of the ending. I didn't quite understood it. Im not gonna elaborate, cause I dont wanna spoil. But, during the first chapters in the story, I thought it was gonna be boring, but halfway thru I was like WTF!!! then I was like AWEEEE, then I was like NO! HOW COULD YOU DO THAT. Altho, I didnt gave this series a five star rating, this is still worth a read and would definitely recommend it.
The second book follows grey and lia mara. I thought that I would love this book, but Grey's character was not it, for me. He was passive!! And Lia mara's character was centered on her inferiority complex. So they were not balanced out. However I like that Grey always reassures Lia mara that she's strong and capable. This book was written beautifully tho, so I'm giving this a 4.5 out of 5.
The first book, for me, lacks something—unpredictability, I guess. It was kinda boring and predictable and I was hoping that the antagonist's side will be explained more, but it wasn't. But its an easy read, and there was a cerebral palsy represenation, so there's that. I dont hate it, but I dont love this either. Im rating it 4 out of 5. I would still recommend this though.
