I wondered what she'd think if she knew the quote from Jerry McGuire— You complete me—flashed through my very soul as I watched her laugh.
wesley bennett effortlessly owned the boy obsessed trope, by a long shot <3 i just want someone like him in my life. *cues taylor swift's paper rings play in the background*
“Are you saying you wouldn’t fight for me?” Hades sighed and brushed his finger along her cheek. “Darling, I would burn this world for you.”
hades and persephone made me want to read this book, the drama and toxicity were the ones that made me stay. the characters were both so insufferable and intriguing they kept me on my toes as i finish this book. (and as much as i don't want to, i am now officially obliged to read the third installation of this series because i am now so invested to the drama that i need to know might happen next.)
“You are beautiful. I have never wanted like I want with you.”
the mutual pining as the story progress is *chefs kiss*. makes me want to throw up the burning butterflies inside my stomach. hades is such a loveable character <3, (persephone on thin ice though), and hermes carried a huge percent of the book!
“I fell in love with teasing you in the second grade, when I first discovered that I could turn your cheeks pink with just a word. Then I fell in love with you.”
the book was— in fact— better than the movies. it made me miss the highschool i'm still having, the boy next door neighbour i would never have, and the romcom references i would never get. wesley bennett is my new book boyfriend and i would do anything for him (even giving up The Forever Spot if i have to) x <3
After all, this is a house full of Chronics. The next tragedy is already long overdue.
there was not a single moment in this book i didn't feel sick in my stomach. the confrontation almost made me choke on my own vomit and the ending made my stomach churn 180° upside down. (i wish i was being dramatic) pls check a few tws before reading this book!!
overall, i love the story! it was surely the type i would think about for a few days, maybe even ramble about or spoil to my sister who doesn't like reading much.
the characters were so insufferable and fucked up, (i hated jeremy more than verity not gna lie, is that something i should be worried about?) anyways.
“I’m sorry for what I did to you in your nightmare. Please forgive me tonight when you dream.”
reading this on august while listening to august by taylor swift has been quite such an experience. i love the characters so much in this book. i learned a lot of realizations and felt a lot of enlightening after reading this. especially because i am also a woman like quinn.
i will now promise to never take anything for granted.
the only reason i couldn't rate this 5 stars is bc we wouldn't tolerate cheaters in this house! but other than that, this book has been perfect to me. i love quinn and graham so much.
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

We study the realm of consciousness because we understand that to decide something, to weigh a cost and accept its consequences, is to forcibly alter the world in some tangible way.
the atlas six is a book that would either make you realize a few things and stare at the ceiling and say to yourself, "oh wow, that kind of makes sense!" or would mush your mind into a whirlpool of boggling existential experience and say to yourself, ''what the fuck am i even reading?''
the writing inside this book is impeccable and even theatrical, and i applaud it for that, but the way the characters were exhibited, their point of views, their motivations, and how out of touch they were to the plot, are what made the book insufferable for me (i'm sorry).
Damn, those eyes of his were quickly becoming my favorite thing in the world. Even more so than triple-chocolate brownies.
this book successfully fed the far-long buried touch-starved b1tch inside of me. had me accidentally letting out short squeaks and giggles and scowls. it didn't help that the characters were very funny (especially their banters), and has loveable personalities that were further developed into so much more. had me rooting for them and shit. chaotic characters written in a chaotic way, i love it wholeheartedly.
