Disco Fever by Ab. Cynthe

This was a lot of fun! Gory and very sexy. I loved the violence of the angel and her devils. The imagery of this played out like a movie in my head, the descriptions of the clothing and setting were just so detailed. We got to find out about Dottie’s past and background and I would have loved to know more of Kat and Dante as well.
Lovesick: A Dark Romance by Cynthia A. Rodriguez, Cynthia A. Rodriguez

I enjoyed this so much! I thought the POVs were very unique and interesting! It was fascinating being in both of their heads, as they both grappled with their mental illnesses, as everything unfolded. I really liked how single minded Rose was and how much she cared about Abel, in her own way. I really loved what a simp Abel was for Rose but also had his moments of dominance. Loved this read!

This was a cute cowboy romance. I think I do have more of a preference for funny banter, though. This was a quick read and I did like the characters and the friends. I loved Joel’s advice to Luke and Teddy’s advice to Emmy. All in all, lovable characters, good romance, good smut, but probably won’t continue the series.

When I saw the description of this book (fight club, bi throuple, dark romance), I knew I would immediately drop everything once it was in my hands. When I tell you I devoured this. I loved Olive and her background as a SW. I loved Jayce and Zander and how they are on opposite sides of the law and treat Olive like a queen. The fight club scenes were easy to imagine and the smut was hot. This was a propulsive read that left me eager for book 2!

I loved this read! That ending was so unexpected, but seriously what better way to end the story?? I finished it at midnight and I couldn’t even vocalize my feelings bc my husband and daughter were asleep.
Iris-Marie was so perfectly morally grey. Cypress kept you guessing. Tuft, oh my sweet Tuft. Anyone else picture Evan Peters from AHS S7???
I loved the detail given to the imagery of the locations of the bayou and underworld. I also thought the lore was explained well. It was fast paced since it is a shorter read, but I think it worked very well. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a sapphic villains retelling.

It is wild to me that I’m DNFing with an hour left but I was really hoping things would turn around and they have not. The relationship: boring. The MMC: boring. The FMC: insufferable. The friend group: forgettable. I refuse to rate under 3 stars and this would be leaning to a 2, so I’m just going to stop listening now. While there are great topics of discussion in here, Aliyah is still very immature and Daniel deserves better treatment. In a whole book, there is 0 character growth and that is a shame. Would not recommend.

This was a fast paced, slow burn, fantasy inspired by some pretty memorable villains. For being on the shorter side, there was a lot packed in between world building, action, and the romance. I liked how single minded Nyxara was in protecting the forest and its creatures. I enjoyed Vaela’s confidence and taunting and her personality. I’m a sucker for a familiar, so of course I loved Morrin. This was fun and had a very tidy ending.

Another hilarious installment perfect for reading around St. Paddy’s day. I do prefer Morelli and Ranger over Diesel, but he does add to the comedy.

This was cute! I love how obsessed Chris was with Trixie and having his POV of all the pining and being in love. It was a quick, popcorn read that probably won’t stick in my mind very long but I did enjoy the ride. My only complaint while reading is adults still behaving like high schoolers.

Another fun installment but Dickie deserves nothing good!! Love how random these characters are, especially the bonded lol
