I absolutely loved this book. I devoured it in one day, two mega sittings. I thought I couldn’t handle a tearjerker right now, and I could tell from the first few pages that something Terrible happens in the book - but the prose was SO GOOD that I kept going. (Also I just came back from Bocas del Toro, which is now one of my favorite places on the planet, and didn’t know that was one of the major settings for the book!) I cried - sad tears and peaceful, soothing tears. I also chuckled and outright laughed several times. This book is truly a gem and I feel like I’m walking away from it lighter and wiser. Truly 5/5.
