First 50% 4-5 stars. Last 50% 2-2.5 stars. That became so cringy and corny so fast.
DNF 18% in. 0 development/build up to the story. Just thrown in the middle expecting us to instantly be invested.
Cowboys and country boys usually give me the ick, but this was actually good.
4.5. Such a good easy read. Great writing, great banter, second chance romance, tension, actually funny, great book to get out of a reading slump. Beginning was a little slow at first but it picked up quickly. Ending was cheese ball city, but it is what it is.
Was it cliché? Yes. Did I care? No. Like this isn’t going to be winning any literary awards, and requires 0 critical thinking skills. The vibes were great, I couldn’t put it down, and I really liked the authors writing style. Not fade to black but also not overly smutting. Also I’m pretty sure I never had to put the book down because it was so cringy like a lot of the books I’ve read lately, so that in itself is a win. I’m sure if I sat here and really thought about it I might rate it a little lower, but I’m basing this off vibes. Would recommend.

4-4.5. This was so cute! I was completely thrown off by how healthy the communication was between all these characters. Amazing.
I somehow still give this 4 stars based on vibes and binge ability. However, I would not recommend this to like anyone unless they are familiar with Meghan Quinn books because the second hand embarrassment is off the charts.
Petition to make the youngest person in an age gape romance at least 25 so it doesn’t feel so creepy. Yea Ollie was 21 but with her being in college and just being immature, her being with a 31 year old man was so weird. And my god, Ollie was so annoying for the first half of the book. Like probably one of the most annoying FMC’s ever.
However, the second half of the book was actually really good. And Silas was a gem from the start. Honestly I hated this book most of the time, but the parts I loved I really loved.

This was so boring. And so frustrating. It was basically filler fueled by fluff and miscommunication. Also all the chapters are like 25 minutes long which in itself is a crime. It took 68% of the book for them to communicate. 68%! 2 stars feels like too many.
