This book is a movie to book adaptation. Usually its the other way around and I don't read books adapted from a movie.
But Underworld just gripped me. The movie was really good and Selene is such a great character that you completely get engrossed. For me the movies weren't enough which is why I started reading the books.
The books don't have a specific person's pov it rather narrates from all the characters' perspective. This book contains some serious heavy vocabulary. But it isn't misplaced. You can tell from the wordings that the characters are from a different era unlike in other books.
The book gives an in depth view into all of the movie characters. All in all it was an amazing read. I was gripped from the start to the end.

I really don't find this series that engaging. I am not going to continue with the 4th novel. The oscillation between the main character's liking for Pach was annoying. And No just no.

I am an Underworld Fan through and through and even though I found the 2nd movie lacking I still picked up the novel. Did not regret the decision. The 2nd book and movie both were lacking compared to the first but thats the case every time. Other than that the book was fast paced and I flew through it.
