it's a debut novel and it shows in the writing. plot is slow paced but the progress of the relationship between the characters feel rushed like be fr. not only is the plot slow it is also extremely predictable. finishing the book was a chore. cameron is insufferable like pls just shut up. i feel brad, elizabeth, and avery were pointless characters and the chapters they are in does not contribute to the plot. wish there was more octopus. props for having an old mc. this book is boring.
