I feel like I am missing what other people are seeing in this book. I cannot believe anyone ever labeled this book as funny. It definitely isn’t funny? It’s very slow, the twist at the end is just thrown in. The first 270 pages are day to day and absolutely drag. If you’re a seasoned thriller, murder mystery, horror etc reader this isn’t for you. I don’t really get what part of it was supposed to be funny and I think it’s making me dislike the book even more. This was honestly a super boring book.

The main character was just a stereotypically neurodiverse person who struggles with socializing and human connections, I think her social “weirdness” was supposed to be what’s funny but I’m not even sure.

I loved both Claire and Eva. I thought the main part of the book was really good but I found the end lacking.

A thriller with a happy ending? Cool, but there was no twist at the end. The only twist was Danielle but as soon as that was said there was no wow factor or big ending. I’m glad Claire escaped. I’m really not sure if eva is alive or not?

This was an interesting read but a lot of it was pretty repetitive. It retold the same facts a few times. It was good.

This book is an absolute wild ride. There haven’t been many books lately that the antagonist makes my blood boil, but this book does a fantastic job making you absolutely hate the antagonist(s).
I loved reading this book, I had so much fun cheering for the protagonists. Wow, loved this.

This book was a solid 4/4.5 until the last chapter. The ending didn’t really make any sense.

WHO the heck dropped the bracelet off in the last chapter? Why would Claire be alive and not show herself and let Amber take the kids? Why the heck did David deserve to die? Did Edward not die and have the bracelet? Why would he? Claire’s house was on fire and she somehow grabbed the bracelet and got out?  Did Paul have cameras in the house and is Paul taunting her? What anniversary are they even celebrating? Idk. This didn’t seem like a “oh maaan, how wild!” sort of cliffhanger. It felt lazy. I enjoyed reading this but the ending absolutely ruined it.

It was ok. It was written as novellas and I might have enjoyed it better that way, but it seems like the author tried to make it scarier than it was. It’s an interesting read, but the criminals all had the same exact voice so it just wasn’t great. I had high hopes and it was just alright.

Wow. This book is highly emotional. I cried every ten pages, my stomach hurt, my heart broke. This was by far the most tense book I’ve read all year. Ow, my heart.
