I was so disappointed in this book. The entire love story is just toxic masculinity, it’s yucky. I don’t even really know what this book was supposed to be about. It’s a subpar love story, the “mystery” of the sister is weird and incomplete. The small town they live in is perfect in every way, the town is overfunded and flawless, everyone in the town is an exceptional human being— it’s borderline creepy.

There are so many plot holes. I just don’t get the appeal of this book. 550 pages of true nothingness.

I found this book almost good. It’s engaging, the plots creative enough but it just had too much going on. There’s way too many horror movie comparisons to real life movies with slight details changed, endless movie titles to differentiate and way too many characters.
The main characters are all irksome, there are huuuuge plot holes.
I wanted to love this book but it left me annoyed and unsatisfied.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 48%.
It just didn’t keep my attention. Too many characters and not enough plot
