“How does a woman, who hates violence and guns, fall for a professional killer?”
That is the question for this story. And let me tell you, this story was great!! I enjoyed it so much!
Read it in one sitting, so good!
I can’t wait to read book 2 when it comes out!
Very quick, easy read. It was very cute! Very much a grumpy sunshine romance (if you couldn’t tell by the title 😂)
Liz Tomforde has an amazing ability to take tropes that I do not usually enjoy and make me love them!
As a former nanny myself, nanny romances tend to make be cringe, but I have to say I loved this! Zero cringing was done 😂
It had snark, banter, angst, steam!, adorable moments, it was awesome! There were beautiful heartfelt moments, parts that were so beautiful that I shed a few tears. It was wonderful!
5 Gold Stars All Day! (Iykyk 😉)
I am super excited to see what comes next in the Windy City series!

I’m writing this as a review of the whole series. I enjoyed the characters and their relationships, as couples, individuals, and as friends.
The first book had me intrigued. The second had the relationships building. The third book lost a bit of steam there for me. The last book. I found the “big battle” to be a bit lacking for me and the ending of the story wrapped up a little too quickly for my liking.
Overall, still an enjoyable series. I do t know that it will be a go-to reread. But still enjoyable.
