Many thanks to Kara McDowell, NetGalley, Wednesday Books/St.Martin's Press for allowing me to enjoy an e-ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
An American tourist must team up with the British crown prince if she hopes to make it home before the end of the world in this fast-paced, high-stakes, rom-com.
I have to start this review by stating that apocalyptic scenario books and movies give me anxiety. I know, it's weird. I can read books with really dark themes and not bat an eyelash, but throw in a world-ending cataclysm and I sit there with sweaty palms and a racing heart. I had to put the book down a few times to remind myself that"No, a world-ending comet is not currently hurtling toward the Earth...that I know of, anyway."
I loved the banter and the slow-burn romance between the two main characters, Wren and Theo. Wren is the kind of person who makes lists, plans everything, and has basically her whole life planned out in detail. Theo is a royal burdened by the expectations his family and title require of him. I have to note that I loved the way Kara McDowell represented Theo's mental health struggles in this story. It was well-written.
I would recommend this book to someone who loves romance, romantic comedy, high-stakes adventures, and deliciously witty banter and slow-burn tension.
I don't want to spoil anything but...that ending. I need a sequel. Please and thank you.

This book was so silly, but it was also really ridiculously sweet and I am surprised to say that I enjoyed every second of it.
At first, my brain envisioned Jack McBrayer as Hall. I was sitting there reading and kept picturing the moment in Forgetting Sarah Marshall when Jack McBrayer's character animatedly says "off to find the mythical clitoris" and it nearly killed the vibe for me. But by the time I made it to the 40% mark, that mental image had faded because this story had a lot of laugh out loud moments.
This is the perfect holiday read if you want something you can breeze through quickly, something noncommittal and light-hearted with a happy ending.

C.N. Crawford does not disappoint. I devoured the Demon Queen Trials series, so I was super stoked to dive into this new series. While this series didn't have quite the same magic that Demon Queen Trials had for me, it was still such a fun read. I wasn't sure what to expect based on the blurb...Bachelor style wife hunt with faeries. But I trusted that these authors I have come to adore (they are auto-buy for me) would not lead me astray, and as usual, I was rewarded with a great story. It held a balance of quirk and silliness alongside darker themes and Torin...let me tell you...he is a yummy character. Ava is equally lovable, snarky and unapologetic.
I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

A huge thank you to Gwenda Bond, St. Martin's Press, and NetGalley for the opportunity to enjoy this ARC and share my thoughts on it with all of you.
Savvy is a powerful witch, a fact that she must hide from her soon-to-be husband, Griffin. But all is not as it seems when it comes to light that Savvy isn't the only one with secrets to keep.
This story was an entertaining, quick read and would make an excellent palate cleanser if you've just finished a longer series and want something light-hearted. There's enemies to lovers tension, and both Savvy and Griffin are total cinnamon rolls. If you liked the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith and you enjoy fluffy, low-stakes, paranormal romance, this book is for you.
