Definitely more spicy than the first book and I whole-heartedly approve. Charlotte was a character that I had to warm up to a bit because she was so stand-offish and prim to the point of painfulness. But, I think that's why putting her with Alex was a good idea and how he was able to show her that it's OK to relax and be herself. Especially once she gets out from under her controlling aunt. Who, by the way, I saw as far more nefarious than Miss Darlington in the first book. Overall, a decent showing; sweet story about overcoming childhood trauma for a bit and putting yourself out there.

This was a very fun and easy romantasy about a human who falls in love with a demon/dragon. Cinn goes on a quest to destroy the only God human-kind has ever known with a demon who has been trapped by her curse.  It is very trope-heavy and predictable, but the characters are so wonderful. And honestly, I knew going into this it wasn't meant to be some epic love story. It was just good, clean, smutty fun.
What I found interesting was, in the midst of all the upheaval, everyone was basically cool with their whole religious life being destroyed and coming to terms with the fact that the very people they thought were horrible were put under a curse. There is a whole can of worms to dig into with that one but it was refreshing to see that everyone just accepted and moved on.

This was a fun look at someone I didn't previously know about - and seeing it from her own perspective was great. I have a feeling Josephine Baker's vitality, compassion, and humanity would make her as popular today as it made her 80 years ago during the height of her fame.

This book was exceedingly diverting. It was funny, light-hearted,  winsome, and sweet. With very little "spice" the author managed to convey passion and desire. Entirely sweet.

This was such a fun, light-hearted look at what it means to be a villain and what it means to be good.its got all the classic rom-com tropes but does it in a way that doesn't make them corny. It just works. Can't wait to get my hands on the next ones.
