Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls (And Everything in Between) by Lauren Graham

This was the perfect weekend book and I enjoyed reading this so much. I mostly picked this up for Lauren Graham’s reflections on filming Gilmore Girls and it’s reboot, A Year in the Life— which are written about in so much depth (despite the book only being a little over 200 pages) and certainly don’t disappoint. But Graham’s writing style is also, unexpectedly, lighthearted and witty all around, and each and every essay is so deeply engaging, yet fun at the same time. I’m not one for reading memoirs/essay collections by celebrities in general, but this was one that I loved the experience of reading and I’m glad to have picked up. The synopsis says the book is ‘like a cosy night in, catching up with your best friend, laughing and swapping stories’— and I think this is absolutely the best way to describe it.
