it was fun, what can I say.

“Men. They always ruined it by opening their mouths.”

“You and me against the world, princess.”

“Careful, Mr Larsen, or I’ll think you actually like me.”
His mouth curled into a grin. “Baby, we’re way beyond like.”

“Remember. In public, you’re my princess, but in private, you’re my whore.”

“Do you remember Costa Rica?”
“How could I forget?” It was one of the happiest memories of my life.
“You asked me if I'd ever been in love. I said no.” He pressed a soft kiss to my mouth. “Ask me again, princess.”

“She wasn't mine to take, but I was taking her anyway. Her laughs, her fears, her joy and her pain. Every inch of her body and beat of her heart. All mine.”

i can’t believe I actually finished this.  It was entertaining and sexy but  sometimes weird. I didn’t really feel connected to the love interest he was so gross to me and
James and Wendy find out they share a frickin half brother in the end and just never mention it again and go on to the epilogue WTF>/spoiler>

The last bit was the best part for me. So action packed and fast paced in the last 20%. Those Graphic Audiobooks are the best thing ever.

To be honest I had high hopes after loving Daisy Jones and Malibu Rising but I found the narration of Monique to be so annoying. I might finish this later but life is too short to read something you don’t like. Also when she tries to write from the POV of a poc it feels awkward or when she describes poc. It just sounds weird knowing who she is.

I might finish later but not the vibes rn and my library time was up lol
