The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times by Michelle Obama

One of the most inspiring books I've read in 2022. I listened to this book on Audible and it just felt like I was having a conversation with her at a cafe or in the living room at her home. She's a very down to earth person and this book simply showed how she's trying to figure life just like the rest of us. I really felt encouraged listening to this and I'm excited to listen & read this again in 2023.

Ties That Tether by Jane Igharo
while I did enjoy the overall story, i found the romance between the two main characters was very choppy and expedited. I wish there was more elaboration on the main female character's feelings about her dual identity and how it impacted her relationships<spoilers>
