a short quick read. i enjoyed this book a lot. i thought that the entire idea of the novel was super different from colleen’s typical writing. i loved the supernatural aspect and i like the way she included it in writing. also that plot twist was very witty and i admired it. Leeds is def hot.

i basically binged this book. i do not regret it. i loved every second of it. the style of this book is so so good and i’m so happy that i finally read it. i’ve never read a book like this and i wish more existed like this. i have never been so intrigued in a fictional characters life than i have rn. like wow i’m so in love with this book and just the style of writing. i wasn’t a fan of celia around the middle of the book but towards the end i grew happier with her character. evelyn is just such a powerful character and i loved hearing her story. this book is beautifully written.

wow. my mind is actually so messed up rn. i did not think that was going to happen. idk how sienna predicted that but i also hate predicting books so i didn’t. anyways this book left my jaw dropped like i can’t wrap my head around any of this. like i want to reread this book and see it from a different pov. i loved how fast paced it was. i really loved the ending and how it was so open ended. i’m just at a loss of words and can’t explain anymore without spoiling. but wow that was the book i needed.

reading sam is back!

Ok so i expected more… towards the end of the book i literally wanted her to end up w his twin rather than cooper himself. i really enjoyed the book in the beginning until they literally got together before the half way mark. after that the characters became annoying, and they became just stupid. they could’ve prevented the problem at hand like?? And i get it it’s for the plot but like seriously they actually could’ve avoiding half of the problems. and don’t get me wrong i usually love elle’s book like i binge them but this i struggled with a bit. but i’ve also been struggling in general for reading i haven’t had any 5 star books in forever.

i love how full circle this was. owen and auburn were great characters. towards the end i got a little emotional just bc of how it wrapped up. this was the first book i finished in probably almost a month. i’ll admit it wasn’t like a binge book bc i started it like a week ago but it made my heart heavy. looking for that next hook binge book!

4.5 stars. i don’t even know how to review this book. i haven’t finished a book this quickly in forever but i just sunk into the pages. i mean this entire book i was a little on edge and a little spooked. the entire novel is def a little creepy and you could tell that something was wrong. and the characters i felt were all a little suspicious which added to the plot. the after and before parts i thought were really wise to incorporate as well. and the climax and all the destruction literally happens in the span of 25 pages. it’s this whole buildup for such an interesting falling action. i overall really liked how moody and eerie this book was. for me i felt like that island wasn’t haunted but since the characters believed it was it slowly just drove them insane. like it literally proves what happens if u leave humans on an island w no rules.

i liked this book a lot. i loved milly and jonah tgr sm. at first i wasn’t such a fan of aubrey but eventually she grew on me. the ending at first was a little anticlimactic but then it kind of just came full circle and i very much enjoyed it. this book took me so long to finish but it was a nice read. i still need a book that’s going to sweep me off my feet tho! i also loved the family history throughout this book and i was able to understand everything.

It was good but the ending sucked. Best book i’ve read for school probably.
