What an absolute triumph! I was so pleasantly taken aback by how much I enjoyed this book.

Essentially told through the perspective of 3 women at a theatre performance, we get to know about their lives, their thoughts and the world around them through their inner monologue. I loved being in their head. So much wit and charm and absolute realness.

I really liked this book. I thought it was atmospheric and eerie. It has all the topics I love (don't judge me on it too strongly) - serial killers, complicated mother daughter relationships, cults and just some creepy shit.

Even though there were times where logically I wasn't quite on board with what was going on - it was only a very VERY mild issue and I really enjoyed the book.

a romance where people communicated properly, were super in touch with their feelings (as well as their bodies) and the topic of knowing each other's 'love languages' came up multiple times? Man!!

This was refreshingly nice. Steamy, but not too steamy. It was well written and executed. It felt mature.

well, this was nice. I love Maureen Johnson. Though the end felt like a bit of a stretch.
