In middle school, I checked this book out from the library so many times that the librarian would just shake her head with a smile and go "again, honey?" This is one of my underrated childhood favorites. It's just so interesting from start to finish that even reading it as an adult, ten years later, I loved it.

Was this a bit insta-lovey? sure. Did I eat it up? Yes, of course I did. My only complaint is that this book could have definitely been like 50 pages shorter that ending did not really add much to the story.
